Who We Are
Hogum Powerline Construction is a Nevada-based electrical contractor built from the ground up by two people who have spent their careers in the field. Aaron Ruesch and Jeff Williams bring nearly 50 years of combined experience in power delivery, powerline construction, and electrical work across the country. They have worked every level of this industry, from building lines to managing crews to training the next generation of linemen.
After years of talking about doing it on their own terms, the timing finally lined up. Aaron moved back to his hometown in Nevada, and together they decided to go for it. The goal was never to build the biggest company in the state. It was to build the right one: a team of like-minded professionals who take pride in their work, hold themselves to a high standard, and show up every day ready to do the job right.
That is what Hogum is built on, and it is what drives everything we do.

Aaron Ruesch, Owner
Aaron brings 26 years of experience in the power delivery industry, covering everything from building powerlines in the field to managing operations at scale. He has worked coast to coast, from Florida to California, and spent time as a trainer and mobile trainer at one of the top lineman schools in the country. That background in training shapes how Hogum approaches crew development: we build our own people the right way.

JEFF WILLIAMS, Owner
Jeff has 23 years of experience spanning the full range of electrical work, from residential and commercial construction to industrial projects, powerline construction management, and maintenance and repair. His background across multiple sectors of the industry gives Hogum a broad foundation to handle complex, multi-faceted jobs that require more than a single specialty.

Our Commitment to Safety
Safety is not a policy at Hogum, it is a standard we hold ourselves to on every jobsite, every day. All work is performed in compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.269 and applicable utility specifications. Before any work begins, our crews conduct a mandatory job briefing to identify hazards and confirm controls are in place. Required PPE, including FR clothing, hard hats, eye protection, gloves, sleeves, high-visibility gear, and steel-toe boots, is non-negotiable on every site.
We treat all lines as energized unless verified otherwise. No exceptions.

Hogum is an owner-involved company built around a safety-driven culture and a team of people who take pride in their craft. We are not looking for just anyone. We are looking for linemen and crew members who want to be part of something they can be proud of, where the owners are in the field alongside them and the standards are set from the top down.
Expect long days, 10 to 12 hours depending on the job, and a schedule that runs five to six days a week. The work is demanding, and we would not have it any other way.
